COLLECTA at Beijing Contemporary Art Fair 2026

COLLECTA was invited to participate in Beijing Contemporary Art Fair 2026, presenting Andrea Polichetti’s latest works within the specially curated section Summer Retreat.

Beijing Contemporary Art Fair 2026 opened on 21 May at Hall 11 of the National Agricultural Exhibition Center in Beijing. The VIP preview took place from 21 to 22 May, followed by public days from 23 to 24 May. COLLECTA participated with a presentation of recent works by residency artist Andrea Polichetti.

Polichetti’s practice examines how time acts upon material and space. Working across wrought iron, neon, painting on canvas, cyanotype, and printmaking, he explores processes of decay, residue, and reconstruction. The presentation developed from research and production undertaken during his residency in China, extending his investigation into the shifting relationships among material, environment, and spatial memory.

COLLECTA participated in Summer Retreat, a special section curated by Yang Tiange. The presentation brought together 52 works from seven Europe-based galleries and organizations: Galerie Christophe Gaillard, Galerie Thomas Schulte, Meyer Riegger Wolff, PSM, Hua International, COLLECTA, and Galerie Judin.

Presented in early summer in Beijing, Summer Retreat entered into dialogue with Polichetti’s project Land Trace. The works brought together within the section considered the movement of material, bodies, environments, and time, proposing a shared perspective that extended across cultural and geographical boundaries.
